All Marko Percussion products are hand-made by me at my residence in San Francisco. After much pondering, experimenting and obsessing in my workshop and, after much input and encouragement from my fellow percussionists, I feel confident (and humbled) in offering my line of percussion products to Samba and World Music players the world over. |
| Through “intuitive engineering,” I've developed designs that are functional, durable and beautiful. I take an unhurried, meditative approach to my craft. A typical Rio surdo mallet, for example, requires 16 production steps to complete. Each mallet, beater, shaker and drumsling is a labor of love. |
